IT Network & Security Manager

Reporting to the Director of IT, our client is seeking an experienced, highly qualified and capable Network and Security Manager to be a key member of our IT infrastructure team. This role will be responsible and accountable for supporting key aspects of their corporate infrastructure and ensuring that the underlying multi-site infrastructure is available.

Scope of Role / Prime Accountabilities (includes but is not limited to):
  • Security, IPS / IDS
  • Network Access Control; Advanced Persistent Threat Management
  • MPLS / VPLS, QoS, DMVPN technologies
  • Penetration testing, vulnerability assessments
  • Cisco VoIP, UCS / CUCM
  • Escalation support
  • Data networking and network security
  • Voice, telephony, video conferencing
  • ITIL / infrastructure process, standards and documentation
  • VPN / remote connectivity
  • Infrastructure Project Management
  • Data center
  • Disaster recovery (including DRP planning and testing)
  • Infrastructure project management
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure required high availability of all corporate IT infrastructure
  • Ensure existing infrastructure supports organizational business requirements
  • Drive continuous improvement and best practice administration and support of key assigned corporate IT infrastructure areas
  • Ensure formal SLA’s that meet business requirements are adhered to 
  • Ensure incident response and management protocols and process are effectively and consistently followed
  • Act as tiered support for high-severity and business impacting infrastructure issues; Act as backup at times for other team members
  • Ensure high quality on time completion of all infrastructure projects, support services and verbal commitments; Provide effective oral and written project status updates and presentations
  • Ensure disaster recovery plans and solutions are in place and kept up-to-date
  • Lead by example and ensure required work performance
  • Ensure effective ITIL infrastructure process and policies are adhered to
  • Drive effective coordination
  • Deploy, configure and update network security hardware and software
  • Assist and provide input in network security design, planning and implementation
  • Administer an enterprise class event correlation monitor
  • Deploy, configure and update network security hardware and software.
  • Monitor network security devices performance, analyze data flow to identify issues and make recommendations
  • Participate in network security incident response team
  • Provide support and resolution of network security problems on the LAN/WAN, troubleshoot and fix advanced network related issues in collaboration with other teams
  • Implement and maintain fail proof infrastructure security measures, systems, controls and policies to protect corporate assets, systems and intellectual property
Skill and Qualifications:
  • Degree or diploma in a related Infrastructure / IT area or discipline
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience as a successful Network & Security professional in complex multi-site corporate infrastructure environments
  • In-depth experience with broad scope of IT infrastructure domain areas and technologies; A highly effective hands-on practitioner with clear track record of successful delivery
  • Proven ability to evaluate and implement scaled network and security solutions in a global organization
  • ITIL, Cisco CCNP, CISSP certified
  • Experience with wireless technologies
  • Experience with configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches and protocols including BGP, EIGRP, OSPF and Layer 2 switching
  • Experience with network management and analysis tools
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment and achieve timely results and outcomes
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
  • Some travel may be required
